Writing
I worked on the Texas A&M University yearbook, The Aggieland, for two years.
I did two cruise books for the USS John Rodgers (DD-983) were I worked with another officer, Karl “Photo Det” Gillette, to put it all together. I have the first one, Med Cruise in 1982, but never received my copy of the second one. Bob Speegle provided me a scanned copy of the cruise book! I appreciate the time it took to put it into a file and send it to me. It came out pretty well.
Wrote numerous columns for “In Brief” the newspaper of the University of Detroit School of Law as well as submitting a couple of cartoons. And once you submit two items, you become part of the staff. I have scanned them in and will be posting most of them online in the near future.
On line columnist for a large web site for several years. It was a paid gig! Started with columns related to Genealogy. Picked up a second topic on Martial Arts. The organization underwent many changes and stopped paying and then really started messing with people and the requirements. The Genealogy columns are on this site, Mark’s Genealogy Articles. A couple of them have been republished in genealogical newsletters and magazines.
You can now purchase two articles on Amazon for the Kindle that consist of about a dozen of the articles each.
