I have dabbled in art my whole life. It is only recently that my work has made enough progress to be willing to share! My current focus is on ink illustrations with watercolor. I also do Sumi-e, ZenTangles (TM) and cartoons.
Ink Illustrations
I discovered Domestika, an online collection of courses at reasonable cost (Less than $10 for many courses!). Mattais Adolfsson is an Swedish illustrator who’s detailed and humorous drawings captured my imagination. Most of these are based on assignments from that course.
Turning doodles into characters.
Sumi-e
The Japanese art of brush and ink with its roots in China. The calming actions of grinding your own ink and then brushing it onto the paper are relaxing. I have taught several classes on the Four Treasures and the Four Gentlemen.
